Dear friends,

I am incredibly excited and grateful to be welcoming you to Thriving Together, a new ministry website created with love and care. My name is Seth Suri, and I will be your navigator in the journey of facing the ups and downs of life together, using the beautiful words of the Psalms. My hope is that you will view this blog as a place of quiet rest for any individual looking to grow their relationship with God.

Finding Rest Amid Life's Storms

Life can be exhausting! Life tends to be filled with shifts that challenge our spirits and faith. Here at Thriving Together, we will be taking a look at how the Psalms serve as our guidebook and songbook, that carries us through difficult times, while gently reassuring us along the way. Each blog entry you encounter will serve as an encouragement for you to meditate, reflect, and draw you closer to God.

The Psalms contain a wide range of emotions (i.e. sorrow to joy, doubt to solid faith). The Psalms help demonstrate to us that we can feel alone in our struggles, but also that we should embrace them when they are real in our lives. Through these sacred texts, we can find solace, understanding, and wisdom to confront the challenges that life throws our way.

I am excited to announce that I have created a 180-day devotional series called “Meditate” to help deepen your experience as you journey through the Psalms. The intention of this is to provide you with a daily devotional designed to encourage you to engage with the scriptures and to think about how they apply to you in your own life. I hope this devotional will be a part of our journey, to kindle our passion for God’s Word and to grow in our faith.

As we venture into this together, I invite you to join in. Share your struggles, share your successes, share your thoughts and reflections- as we journey together. It does not matter if you are enjoying the light or searching for comfort as you linger in the shadows. We all are journeying together, we all have a valid journey, we all have a voice.

Together lets face life, encourage ourselves and each other, and maybe some moments of wonder- as we find our strength in the Psalms. I can’t wait to share your stories and this adventure with you!
